The Rugh Design Color Wheel
To recap, we have been working on adding ALL of the Sherwin-Williams paint colors to the Rugh Design Color Wheel. Our plan was to have all 1,700 colors up by the end of 2018, and this post marks the end of that journey. We have finished the Color Wheel!! To be exact there are 1,731 Sherwin-Williams colors on the Color Wheel with my hand picked color schemes for each one. It has been a long journey and I hope you enjoy and find the Color Wheel useful as you pick color for your space.

Featured Color: Worldly Gray SW 7043
I wanted to highlight a color this week that I love but have admittedly not used a ton: Worldly Gray. I honestly think it’s because a vast majority of my clients are still transitioning from their Tuscan look, but can’t really go fully gray. Worldly Gray is a true gray that is less warm than colors like Agreeable Gray and Balanced Beige. However, the best part of Worldly Gray is that it doesn’t feel too cold! It has enough warmth to avoid the concrete feeling and also doesn’t have any undertones of blue.
I even recently specified this gorgeous gray for a client who is working on a new build, so I’m excited to show some beautiful interiors using Worldly Gray!
Okay, now that you have a basis for Worldly Gray, check out my Pinterest gallery for some inspiration. See below and let me know which one you like the most.If you have your own pictures, send them to me and I will post them! Also, check the Worldly Gray color scheme page for my hand picked color schemes!
Where to use Worldly Gray SW 7043
I love the thought of using Worldly Gray in a bathroom. In the inspiration picture below, the dark tile floors and white tub are a perfect contrast against the gray walls, along with the accent tile in the shower. The chrome hardware on the tub and shower are an ideal way to bounce light around and keep with a modern styling, which Worldly Gray lends itself to.
White cabinets and Worldly Gray go together like peanut butter and jelly, so I was thrilled to find this inspiration picture. This laundry room looks so clean and fresh with the dark gray tile floors, bright white cabinets and gray walls. One of my favorite things about Worldly Gray is that it is light enough to go in smaller spaces, like bathrooms and laundry rooms!
Worldly Gray is an ideal choice for an all-over neutral color for a home if you are leaning away from the warmer greiges and want more of a true gray. I like that Worldly Gray doesn’t have any strange undertones, it just looks gray, but on the warmer side of gray, which is SO nice! The entry in this inspiration picture is a great example of Worldly Gray as a main wall color in a home.
Since colors lighten up quite a bit on exteriors, Worldly Gray looks almost like a white with a gray undertone. Which would be a perfect trim color or main body color if you are going for a softer look. I found an inspiration picture in Amazing Gray (one shade up from Worldly Gray) for a visual on how it looks on an exterior.
If you are considering Worldly Gray, the best way to find out if it is right for your space, is to grab a sample and test it out. I like to paint a large white cardboard so that you can walk around with it and see how it looks in different areas at different times of the day.

The Best of the Rest
Worldly Gray had the spotlight, but I also wanted to highlight a color from the Color Wheel update, Secret Garden. I’m a huge fan of green and this lovely dark green caught my eye on these butler’s pantry cabinets. I love how unique the dark green is paired with a bright white countertop and brass hardware. And the hammered brass sink…SO pretty. Gorgeous combo!!
