Agreeable Gray Color Review

My last Featured Color was the bold and beautiful Cavern Clay (baked clay/rust color). This month, I’m going back to one of my “old faithful” neutrals: Agreeable Gray. Now it’s even more personal to me than ever before! We moved over Christmas and my new home has Agreeable Gray as the main wall and ceiling color. Honestly, as much as I love Agreeable Gray, I was hesitant at first…I loved our last home’s color, Lattice, so much and I was afraid that I would really miss the blue undertone. But, now that I’ve been living with Agreeable Gray for 6 months, I really love the softness and warmth of this gray/greige!

Cavern Clay Color Review

I am super excited about this month’s Color Review! Every year, each paint company comes out with a “Color of the Year.” Sherwin-Williams’ COTY for 2019 was Cavern Clay, a rusty clay color that I happen to really love. Especially paired with my fav color, blue! So, this month I am focusing in on this vibrant, earthy color to give you some tips on where to use this color on your exterior and interior. Cavern Clay has an orange-brown undertone that is best described as a baked clay/rust color. I like that it is a bold color without being super bright. Not only is Cavern Clay a perfect accent wall for any room in your house, but it also works as a front door color or even as the color inspiration for more decorative items (pillows, artwork, etc.).

Accessible Beige Color Review

For this month’s Color Review, I’m going back to my neutral “comfort zone.” I can’t help it that I am drawn to softer more monochromatic palettes! Simplicity and calm are my vibe, therefore I am excited to share with you my Accessible Beige Color Review! Color Review for African Violet

This month I’m going way out of my comfort zone and featuring a super fun and bright color: African Violet. I would categorize African Violet as a saturated warmer violet color with a tiny bit more red to it’s undertone versus blue. It’s bold and has an air of sophistication to it, royalty even. Purple is not necessarily the neutral that you want to paint your whole house, but there are several places where this exuberant color can light up a whole room. Color Review for Repose Gray

Color Review for Charcoal Blue

As I said, this month I am giving my Charcoal Blue review. Charcoal Blue is a gorgeous dark blue-gray color, and oooh, I love this color. Technically, it’s classified as a navy, however, it does have more gray to it than a typical navy like “In the Navy.” In my opinion, having a bit of gray in a navy is a good thing. Nothing is worse than thinking you have a nice, rich navy color for your wall to then realize that it is actually bright blue. That being said, let’s bring on the Charcoal Blue!
