Thanks so much for reaching out! Bungalow Beige is generally a beige that has a brown undertone with a very slight red to it. This means that it does lean towards a beige-taupe that can get a pinky undertone that comes out in certain spaces.
If you are looking for more of a greige, try Accessible Beige, which doesn’t have the red (pink) undertone that Bungalow Beige has. The best way to see how the colors look in your space is to test out some samples. Rugh Design now offers Peel & Stick paint samples to make it easy to test out paint colors. Let me know if you have any other questions at all!
Debating between either SW Accessible Beige or Bungalow Beige for my condo. I do not get much natural light. My sofa and love seat or sage green and tan wall to wall carpet. I have wood medium brown cherry furniture. Which color would be the more warmer, soothing color?
Thanks for reaching out, Mike! Accessible Beige and Bungalow Beige are very similar. Both are warm greige-taupe colors, but Bungalow Beige has a bit more saturation to it. If you don’t get much natural light, I would suggest Accessible Beige.
Accessible Beige will work well with your sage green sofa/loveseat and medium cherry furniture! If you are in need of some more help I am available for an Interior Color Consult!
We have used bungalow beige as our whole house interior color and want to paint a darker accent wall in the family room and a bolder blue color in the dining room. Any suggestions as to what colors would coordinate well? The spaces are separated by a long entryway/hallway but can be seen from each area.
Bungalow Beige has a taupe undertone, so a darker taupe color would work well as an accent wall for the family room. There are lots of options for bold blues! I would love to help you find the right colors through an Interior Color Consultation. It’s the best way for me to see your space and find the right colors to coordinate.
Thanks so much for reaching out and I hope to hear from you soon!

We are considering using bungalow beige as a whole house color. It works great in the very large, open, with one wall that’s completely windows kitchen/family room/breakfast nook area but seems too dark in bedrooms and bathrooms. Any suggestions on a complimentary color for the smaller rooms?
If you like the Bungalow Beige, see if you can have your local Sherwin-Williams store mix it up at 50% so you can get a lighter look in the other rooms that have less natural light. There are also a few lighter taupes/beiges in the same color family that are lighter and would work well with Bungalow Beige.
Let me know if I can help you find the perfect color through an Interior Color Consultation. Thanks so much for reaching out, Kim!
I assume that you are staining your fence? If so, Sherwin-Williams has several different colors of exterior stains. I would pick a medium-toned brown that has similar undertones to Bungalow Beige. If I can help through an Exterior Color Consultation, please let me know!
I am painting my reproduction saltbox with Sherwin Williams Bungalow Beige on the siding and Kestrel White on the trim. I need a darker color for the shutters — preferably gray or brownish gray. Can you recommend one?
Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out! Here is how I responded to Leila:
Try the darkest shade on the Bungalow Beige paint strip. That is a good rule of thumb that I like to go by if you are trying to stay within the same color family with the same undertone.
