Yes, Creamy would work for darker area! Creamy has a warmer undertone, so I would get a sample and test it out in your space. I would love to help you find the perfect color through an Interior Color Consultation if you would like.
I am looking for a light neutral wall color to coordinate with trim/doors that are custom color somewhere between SW Dover white and creamy (according to the sw rep). I would love to change the color of trim/doors to a less yellow white but husband says no way…too much work. The tones in my home are warm over all.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
There are lots of options for a warmer neutral so it will depend on the undertone of your other selections (flooring, countertops, etc.). I have several go-to colors for warm neutrals in several different undertones and would love to help you find the right one through an Interior Color Consultation!
Creamy and Ivory Lace are both really similar! Ivory Lace has a tiny hint of greige to it and Creamy is a bit warmer. If you are trying to make a final decision, I always recommend painting a large cardboard sample and testing it out in your space to see which one you prefer.
Building a new home. Would SW creamy look good on all cabinets, walls, ceiling, and trim? Thinking about using the same color but with a different sheen. What do you think?
Hi there,
I love creamy #7012 and need a trim color to go with it. I am staging a house to sell and am trying to decide between Alabaster or creamy for all the walls and a good contrasting white trim color. what would you suggest?
Sherwin-Williams has samples of their colors that they can mix for you in their stores. As a side note, I love Creamy as a cream color for walls or trim!
Would Sea Salt or a similar color work on walls with the trim painted Creamy? My kitchen cabinets are painted Creamy. I am considering carrying it throughout my house on the trim, but I would like to have a light blue bathroom and perhaps a blue, green or grey in the master bedroom. Any suggestions what will work?
Great question! Creamy is an off-white that is very versatile, so yes, it can work with colors like Sea Salt. In fact, I have had clients with Antique White (even more cream-colored) trim and Sea Salt on the walls that has worked out beautifully. Sea Salt is one of my favorite paints to use in the bathrooms, so enjoy!
I just painted my master bedroom Creamy. It’s very soft and goes well with my ivory bedding and dark pieces of furniture. I have White Dove on the trim, but I’m not crazy about it. I would like a softer tone on the trim. Should I paint all of the trim Creamy also? If not, what soft white goes well with Creamy?
Thank you!
Holly, I’m going to be painting my bedroom creamy too! I also have creamy ivory bedding and dark furniture. May I ask you if creamy has enough color to it to be noticeable on your walls? My swatch is showing as pretty light. Do you have natural light in your bedroom? One more thing if you don’t mind. Any way you could send a picture? Thanks!
Hi Laura, I found you when I was searching for posts on Sherwin Williams Creamy and saw that it’s one of your favorite warm whites.
I thought I’d love it, too, but something strange happened when I painted the walls Creamy: the color seems to be lighter than the sample pot and has a grey undertone. In the morning, the walls show the grey and that beautiful creamy color doesn’t show up until the afternoon. We live in Arizona, our house is on a hill with a vaulted ceiling and 12′ patio doors that face west. So, in the morning we have no direct light and in the afternoon the light comes streaming in.
I asked someone at Sherwin Williams about the grey undertone and he said that’s because all of their white bases have a bit of grey in them. Have you heard that before?
[…] Sherwin-Williams has several options that fit that description! One option in particular is Creamy. Test out some samples next to Repose Gray in your bathroom lighting to see which one looks best. […]

How does Creamy SW 7012 compare or contrast to Ivory Lace SW 7013? Is one merely a bit lighter than the other, or is there a difference in undertones?
Thank you!
