I have beautiful mosaic turquoise mirrors I am trying to match a grey to. They are a bluer rather than greener Turquoise so I need advice which light grey to go with.
Thank you for reaching out. I would love to help you with pick a grey to go well with your mosaic turquoise mirrors! You can purchase a Color Consultation and I can get started as soon as you send over the pictures and questionnaire.
my Lattice 7654 turned out with a more green tint. almost like the lightest celery color. confused on what colors to put with it. purple or dark green.
Oh, no! What room is this in? Your accent colors will depend on the other selections in your space (flooring, etc.). You may actually try to use some blue and/or blue-green accents to bring out more of the blue undertone. I noticed that the blue accents in my home bring out the blue in Lattice even more.
Hey! I love your site and insights into various shades of gray.
I’m completely renovating a new house I bought.
I painted the great room “alpaca”, the bathrooms “passive”, the laundry room “gray screen”.
I initially painted the bedrooms “grayish” however the purple hue really showed up at night with the different lighting. After coming across your website, I repainted the bedrooms “lattice” and loved it! (thank you)
Of note, the great room has an accent wall with shiplap that I was thinking of painting “eider white”. The crown, base, and picture frame moldings as well as door would then be the same “eider white.”
My question:
1. The ceilings I painted “alabaster”, just because it was the 2017 color of the year and Joanna Gaines uses it a lot. I’m not sure if it was a good choice with the wall colors I mentioned, and was wondering what your thoughts were.
2. Any thoughts on the “eider white” as trim and door colors?
[My floors are a dark brown stain, and the main room has wood beams stained the same color.]
[My kitchen cabinets are a kitchen maid “linen” color. backsplash are a white marble subway tile.]
Thanks so much! I am glad that Lattice worked out well for you. I love it in my own home. 🙂 In regards to your questions:
1. Alabaster is a great color, but has a warmer cream undertone, which is why it might not look the best with the cooler and more gray undertones in Passive and Lattice. They really look best with with either a bright white or a white with a slight greige undertone (like Eider White!).
2. I like your thoughts of Eider White for the trim, doors, etc. I would consider painting your ceilings the same color to coordinate or pick a bright white to coordinate with Eider White and your walls colors.
