I am trying to decide between popular gray and respose gray for kitchen cabinets. Plenty of light, medium toned wood floors, white backsplash and counter tops. I love the soft appearance of the popular gray, however, I can’t help think it looks pink at times. Any advice would be much appreciated!
I would go with Repose Gray. I have seen some gorgeous cabinets in Mindful Gray (one shade darker) and Repose Gray would be lovely too! Popular Gray does have a slight mauve undertone that may be causing it to look pink in your lighting. Keep me posted on your progress!
I’m building a new home and can’t make a decision on colors. I keep leaning towards SW Popular Gray for the walls, although I keep second guessing that it may be too light and should go a little darker. I love taupe and don’t want an actual gray. I will have the cabinets and trim painted a white, but again can’t decide. For a counter top I’m looking at Kashmir White granite but I’m afraid of choosing a too bright white paint for cabinets as the granite is creamier. Floors will be greige colored wood.
FYI, house will face south with 3 sets of triple French doors, so there will be a lot of light.
Thanking you in advance,
Judy
I just heard from a friend that she loves Popular Gray in her home! Test out a sample in your space to see how it looks in your lighting and if you think you want to go a bit darker. I also have some other taupes that are great choices if you would like a warmer neutral.
Let me know if I can help through a Color Consult! A trim and cabinet color is included. 🙂
