Hi Laura,
We are going to be painting our home exterior soon I hope. HOA requires three colors with accent color being the darkest and to be used on roofline trim. We have chosen Retreat SW 6207 for our accent color because it blends nicely with roof shingles that are prominently a green with blue/gray undertones mixed with darkish browns/grays. The front door and shutter will also be accent color Retreat. My frustration has been finding a body color. I have considered Comfort Gray SW6205 or Acacia Haze SW 9132 however, other neighbors have already used these colors and homes are too close to ours to use same or similar scheme. I’m looking at choosing a Taupe or Beige for body color. We also have faux stone color to contend with. Could you please, please, please give me color suggestions or a path to find a Taupe or Beige in a medium neutral that doesn’t veer too far to the warm or cool end of its color family spectrum? Sherwin-William coordinates complementary colors for Taupe Tone SW 7633 with Retreat, Modern Gray (trim) or Aesthetic White (trim). You give Balanced Beige as a Triad Color Scheme with Retreat. Other colors I’m considering are Tony Taupe, Stone Lion, Shiitake and Accessible Beige. Are these to warm? I would so appreciated your suggestion!!!
Kind regards,
Diane
I like where you are going with the taupes (Tony Taupe, etc.) to coordinate with Retreat! However, I can give you the best and most direct answer through an Exterior Color Consultation. I can view pictures of your faux stone and help you find the right color for your exterior. Here is the link for more information:
I am thinking about re-painting the interior of my house. I want to keep SW6207 Retreat in my bedrooms and then use SW7643 Pussywillow in foyer, great room, hallways, etc., as the dominant color throughout the home and SW7555 Patience in kitchen to coordinate with stone counter tops and back splash. In your opinion, will Pussywillow, Patience and Retreat work well together? Any feedback?
Also, what would be an excellence choice to introduce a fourth color in this mix of Pussywillow, Patience and Retreat?

I have the Pussy Willow on my walls and used Retreat Green on my cabinets in the kitchen. It’s a beautiful Combo. My trim is done in Pure White.
