I have a carmel leather couch that I need suggestions for wall color. I thought I’d do teal and rust pillows ad gray rug. Ideas? Its a big room and further down is a fireplace too with wood paneling that is painted over. I might want to split the room in 2 but still need colors that match or one color overall.
Hi Patty,
I would try a gray-blue color for your walls to compliment your caramel leather sofa. Teal and rust pillows would be lovely! Let me know if you need help narrowing down the right color for the walls through an Interior Color Consultation:

I am loving the “Tres Naturale” color but, while I can find lots of people have used Kilim Beige or Nomadic Desert…I can’t find anyone who is using TN on their walls. Is there a reason for this? Does it have awful undertones I am not seeing or something? It is on my short list at this point – Tres Naturale, Nomadic Desert or Row House Tan. I’m looking for a color to use in a transitional space with large windows that is primarily north facing! My kitchen has chocolate brown cabinets.
Any advice is welcome!
Thank you!
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
This is a great question! One of the reasons you may not see it much is that it is a newer Sherwin-Williams addition to their paint deck choices. I will say that Tres Naturale has more of an orange undertone versus Nomadic Desert. Grab a paint sample of each to see which paint looks best in your space with your selections and in your lighting!

I had a really hard time trying to find a color to lighten up the walls of my (Tawny Tan..ish) house. Everything head to toe was too dark and I needed a lighter color to brighten the living room, yet complement the dark color. I also searched for anyone who used Tres Naturale. I went ahead and bought it and it looks great in my living room, kitchen and dining room and bedroom.
I really like Sherwin Williams. It’s true to the color. Now I’m have trouble finding a lighter, whiter color for the baseboards.
