Hi there, we just painted our small half-bathroom Gibraltar and love it with the white cabinetry and Swiss Coffee trim (the trim color is carried throughout the house on all trim). Just outside the half-bath is a small hallway leading to a laundry room, neither of which has much natural light. I’d like to paint the hallway and laundry room in colors that would complement the Girbraltar color (I was thinking one color for the hallway and a second color for the laundry room, which has an abundance of white cabinets on one wall and dark gray washer and dryer, but same color for both would be okay). What would you suggest?
Just a little further info – – the hallway is the main entrance from the garage, so is the first impression of the house that visitors see when entering from garage. Also, at the opposite end of the hallway and is an open doorway to a window seat and set of stair and main living area of house. The paint color in these areas is Agreeable Gray so the paint for the adjacent little hallway and laundry room would, I feel, need to coordinate somewhat with Agreeable Gray.
Thank you for any advice you may have…your site is a fantastic source of info.
I would look for a lighter blue-gray that will coordinate with both the Gibraltar and the Accessible Beige in your home. That way you can keep the hallway feeling open and be able to contrast against your white cabinets in the laundry along with your dark gray appliances.
Let me know if you need help narrowing down a color through a Color Consult.
Yikes, sorry…not Agreeable Gray but Accessible Beige is the color of the walls.
No worries, got it!
Thanks,
Laura

Hi Ronda,
