I painted our kitchen with Nomadic Desert, this room gets southern and northern light exposure. I want to paint the sunken living room that is off of the kitchen a lighter color as it doesn’t get much light due to it being a western exposure with only one window. Would Kilim Beige be a good choice or should I go lighter due to the room being dark.
If I went lighter could I have the store add 25% white to Kilim Beige or do you suggest a totally different paint color?
I also have dark wood trim.
Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for the Triad Color Scheme above. We painted our main floor, upstairs hall, and open loft area with Nomadic Desert, and Debonair, and the powder room with Salty Dog based on an HGTV SW color scheme available at Lowes. Over a year later we’re finally getting to the kids’ rooms, the boys wanted green as a main color and the girls wanted purple, so your triad using Clary Sage and Ash Violet created a wonderful launch point to begin their room vision boards.
I have a open floor plan with the whole house painted in SW 6107 Nomadic Desert. I am waiting to paint a small accent wall above the kitchen cabinets to kind of set the kitchen apart from the living room. What color would you suggest? Would the SW 6164 Svelte Sage make it look to dark?
I think Svelte Sage could definitely work! I also really like Nomadic Desert paired with blue-grays. Let me know if I can help you narrow down your choices through a Color Consult:
Yes, I think they definitely can! Latte and Nomadic Beige are warmer beiges and will go nicely with the cherry woodwork/cabinets. I do always recommend trying a sample first to be sure it works in your lighting and with your other selections (backsplash, countertops, etc.). Let me know if I can help further through an Interior Color Consultation. 🙂

Does latte and nomadic beige go with cherry kitchen cabinets and woodwork?
