I am wanting to update my home from it’s 2000 yellow walls. I started in my bedroom with a perfect Greige thinking it would be a good mix of the popular gray but keep the beige warmth with my lighter maple wood tones in cabinets . It turned out pretty, but I am not feeling the warmth of the beige and see a slight purple tint. I don’t think I want to do the rest of the house that has a lot of the warm wood tones with this color. Is there a beige that would blend with the greige that is slightly lighter. I’m worried about the two colors clashing in the hall. I have good natural light and white baseboards and closet doors
Thank you for your comment. I would love to help you pick a beige that will blend with your greige. However, it sounds like you are in need of more than I can offer by responding to your comment. Please check out my Interior Color Consultation packages in my shop.
Hi
Can you please clarify if the 4 separate examples of color schemes you have shared here are ones that are analogous, monchromatic, triad, complementary for perfect greige? Or are they not related to the perfect greige mentioned at the top of the page at all?
We are repainting all of the exterior trim on our brick home (pinkish brick) to perfect greige and trying to decide on door color.
Thank you for asking for clarification! Yes, the 4 color schemes do relate to the main color and have been hand picked by me. 🙂 The monochromatic color scheme colors are colors to consider if you would like to use the same color in different shades (example: maroon, medium toned red, pink, etc.) in your home. An analogous color scheme are two or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel (example: red and red-orange). A triad scheme represents 3 colors that are equidistant to each other on the color wheel (example: red, yellow and blue). Lastly, a complementary color scheme includes two colors that are across from each other on the color wheel (example: red and green).
All of the schemes are meant to be a starting place to pick colors that will go well with the main color. I would love to help you find the perfect color for your exterior through an Exterior Color Consultation. There are lots of options for a door color and I can help find the right one for your home!
Thanks so much for reaching out, Carla! I sincerely hope to hear from you soon.

I am purchasing a house and want to get it repainted before moving in. It’s an open floorplan with the kitchen, dining, and living rooms all together. The floors are a dark hardwood, the cabinets are maple and the carpet is a golden tan. I’m leaning towards SW Perfect Greige or SW Anew Gray. Do you think either one of these colors is better than the other for an entire home?
Congrats on the new house! It sounds like you need to go with a warmer neutral especially with the golden tan carpet. I have a several favorite warm neutrals and would love to help you find the right one through an Interior Color Consultation!
Let me know if you are interested and I sincerely hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for reaching out, Keri!
