Current USPS shipping issues
Since the beginning of the COVID outbreak the USPS has been struggling to keep up with demand. Originally the USPS extended package delivery times by one day. Recently more issues have caused the USPS to be even slower and less reliable. Some of these issues include cutting all postal workers overtime and postal workers being told to leave unsorted packages for the next days work. In response to the issues with USPS we have added FedEx as a shipping option. We believe that FedEx will prove to be both more reliable and faster than USPS at this time.
Most orders made before 3PM CST will be processed and sent out the same day. As per our refund policy (found on each Peel and Stick product page) a package received after your painting timeframe is not a valid reason for a refund. When making your shipping selection please keep in mind your timeframe and the current issues USPS is having.
What to do if you have problems with your USPS shipment
Once the package is dropped off at the post office Rugh Design has no control as to when it leaves the PO or is scanned into the system or which distribution facility the package is sent to. Each USPS package is sent First-Class Mail and after 5 or more days from the date of the mailing you suspect your package is being delayed there are a couple things you can do.
- Visit the USPS website and track your package. You can find your tracking number in the email that was sent to you after your order was completed. The email subject is “Your Rugh Design order is now complete”.
- Visit or call your local post office with your tracking number.
- Visit USPS find missing mail site and fill out a help request form, option #2.
- After 7 business days from filling out the request form re-visit the missing mail site and follow the instructions for option #3.
